Deep breath... It's time. You step to the aisle and the music starts. It's the song you've heard running in your head for months - years. Today is THE day - and it's perfect! It's official!
YOU - ARE - MARRIED!!!
Dinner is amazing (great choice) and you're surrounded by friends and family that are overjoyed for you both.. The cake is fantastic (we'll give credit to your better-half!) and it's time for your first dance. You look in each other eyes and that song you slow dance to at home starts. The moment goes in slow motion. It's just the two of you. Can this night get any better?
Smiles are all around the room and it's time to start the dance party. The DJ plays that crowd favorite, and then another, and another, and they just keep coming. Your friends and family are having a blast... All because you choice the right DJ.
Don't worry - be happy! It may sound cliché but, seriously, a great wedding DJ takes the pressure off planning the flow and vibe of your event. I want you to the enjoy your big day, which is why we meet as many times as needed to prep for your wedding day.
I spend hours on each wedding choosing the right music for the right moment and style of your wedding. We can brainstorm this together - there's no need to come with a completed playlist. That's like baking your own birthday cake and acting surprised when you see it. We'll work together to understand what you like, what you don't and the feel you want for dinner and dance.
A. Thinking through the timing of events:
Things need to flow to keep the event going. Spending too long on one portion of your reception may cause some people to lose interest and LEAVE EARLY! You want a full dance floor and a party that lasts all night, so we'll do some reasonable planning.
B. Only planning what you want and not what you DON'T want:
Building a plan for your DJ is more then just what you want- It's planning what you don't want! Imagine you're on the dance floor with your new husband or wife and all of sudden a song comes on that makes you think of an ex, grandma that passed away, or any other bad memory you can think of. I'd never know not to play that song unless we talked about it. Think about the artists you hate and songs you don't want to hear. This is just as important as the songs you love!
C. Lastly, who is your cue person?
I want you to enjoy your night and not be worried about giving cues for your entrance, cake cutting, etc. You relax - your cue person and I got this!
Absolutely! You can download our wedding DJ planner below! From your ceremony to wedding music, and main dances to reception entertainment, we cover it all.
